My Rating: 5 Stars This is definitely one of the best novels by the Queen of Crime. I had some difficulty in going through the first 2 chapters with all the descriptions, but the wait was worth it. I think the lesson in this book is "what goes around, comes around", at the most unexpected places and the most unexpected time. There was a silence—a comfortable replete silence. Into that silence came The Voice. Without warning, inhuman, penetrating . . . “Ladies and gentlemen! Silence, please... You are charged with the following indictments.” Ten people are lured to a strange island, each one with a dark past that slowly comes to light and gets them killed, one by one. I couldn't figure out who the killer was until the very hand and the epilogue brings all the loose ends together perfectly. I loved the suspense and the speed that the events unfold, it will keep your heart racing! Furthermore, all the twists made my head spin and got me completely addicted to the plot. But the question is - who has the right to decide what justice is? And who is to decide what punishment serves the crime? And is perceived justice at all costs the ultimate goal, or is it the frequently pointless work of a maniac? As a matter of fact, what is justice after all? A masterpiece by Agatha Christie and a most-read!
