Pride and Prejudice and ZombiesĀ (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies #1) by Seth Grahame-Smith29/5/2010 My Rating: 4 Stars I was both curious and horrified when I saw this book. I'm a big fan of Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice is on my Top 10 favourite books. Even so, I decided to take a ride on the wild side. In end, I liked it and ended up buying Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters (still on my to-read list) and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (which I really enjoyed). Pride and Prejudice and Zombies adds a lot more action and it's also quite amusing. Graham-Smith used the original text and when I read it, I barely felt the difference between the original story and his. Loved the idea of the martial-arts training in China and Japan. The Bennet sisters kick some undead ass. Mr Darcy is still very much is cold handsome self, but 10 times more deadly. Absolutely loved the illustrations in the book, even though they are extremely violent at times, but then again so is Elizabeth Bennet.
