My Rating: 3 Stars I admit I was expecting something a bit different and not as much as characters involved. In general, I liked the novel and the characters but in the end, it was a bit depressive for me no matter how much I tried to look on the bright side. I understand that not all lives are happy, but the number of misfortunes and negative events in these characters lives is way too overboard for my taste. It needs a little more light of hope in there to balance things. The characters are very interesting and for me Gisa Klönne really got in deep into them, their thoughts and feelings. On the other hand, I got a bit lost in the midst of the other characters and struggled to remember who they were and their role in the story. In the end, trying to keep up got a bit tiring and I struggled to get to the end of the book. Even so, I was able to understand who was wo when the narrator changed, which was already a positive thing. What I really enjoyed about the book was the story line, the murder and the ending. It was unexpected and it has a really good ending for the story. The clues are all there and with a bit of attention the reader can find out who the killer is before the final chapter. In general is a satisfying read, but too negative for my tastes. Thank you NetGalley, the publisher Manilla, and the author for allowing me to read and review a digital copy of this book.
